You know, I’ve always thought an artists’ greatest expression comes from their experience. Be it pain or be it pleasure. OC Jewellery by Orianne Collins is a call to inward reflection.
A life journey painted across her work so vividly it tells the narrative of not just the designer but the woman and the person experiencing that life through her motifs.
For example, the 18k yellow gold third-eye and Hamsa pendant necklace. Or, the positive affirmations like the words “hope, happy, and “love”, plus the details like the gemstones found in the men’s collection such as “Malachite”.
Imagine waking up to doctors telling you you’d never walk let alone design again. For any person whose entire way of catharsis and communication is channeled through creating, it is more crippling than the physical crippling itself.
Three-years after the accident, the malpractice, and the diagnosis, she climbed the highest mountain in Switzerland, the Breithorn at a 13,661 feet in elevation.
Speaking to Orianne, I learned that she suffered a neck injury in 2014 that left her paralyzed from the neck down due to a medical error.
But, low and behold, by the grace of her inner strength, she did like the Little Mermaid and walked again.
Is Orianne Collins Jewellery a call to one’s own inner strength? Yes, I do believe so. I believe it like I believe in harmony amulet necklaces and the balance bracelets, except we’re talking high-end gemology here– cut from the most prestigious sapphires, golds, emeralds…you name it.
Gemology that ties her strong connection to the higher power that pulled Orianne out of her accident, that ultimately, lead to founding the Never Give Up Foundation that helps people with spinal cord injury.
And, the Little Dreams Foundation that helps children with limited financial means realize their dreams.
Do things really happen in our life for a reason? For a purpose? Who exactly knows. But I do believe that the calling we get for finding a connection to us and what we consume is more prevalent than ever.
There is a world wild rebellion for freedom of all kinds. Freedom from societal or culture pressures but also freedom from our own selves.
The theme here? Not giving up regardless of the circumstance and empowering yourself to keep going.
That is where OC Jewellery by Orianne Collins fits in the jewelry rotation of the modern woman and man. This new era of holistic luxury– that awakened, resilient, spiritual, and conscious luxury buyer.
It is 2021 now, after the pandemic, and prioritizing self-care and mental health are at an all-time high. Aside from her inspiration, possibly almost possessing manifesting abilities within her jewelry designs, she enters the world of beauty.
Precisely the introduction of “Magic Oil ” under the Orianne Collins brand. An oil with 47 different oils in one that heals the skin made from diamonds and gold, of course.
