Ryan Jones Named Vice President of Wynn Nightlife

Wynn Las Vegas names Ryan Jones as its new Vice President of Wynn Nightlife. At the time of this interview, December 2023, Jones formerly served as the Assistant Vice President of nightlife for Wynn and Encore Las Vegas. 

“One of the things that Mr. Wynn said to me many years ago was when he opens a venue or when he opens something new, that’s when he gets bored of it. Because the creative process is done. What he loved was the creativity and the creation of something and going through and saying, ‘We should move this here. We should program this.’ That really resonated with me on the creative side because you’re always wanting to create and mold and, and make something new,” says Ryan Jones, Vice President of Wynn Nightlife.

Ryan has been an integral part of the Wynn Nightlife team since 2011 when he began as nightlife general manager and quickly ascended the ranks. In his former position, Ryan was responsible for the strategy and coordination of the full marketing efforts for Wynn Nightlife, propelling its world-class brands and top-tier artist portfolio. 

Helming the ranks of one of the most in-demand nightlife scenes around the world comes with constant innovation. Jones likens traveling to how he’s able to stay on the pulse to drive Wynn Nightlife to the forefront. In addition to his creativity, he amasses this much responsibility and success with focus and discipline. When asked how he deals with distractions that face those in nightlife Jones says it’s family. Because how else does he arrive at such a successful position in his career without purpose?

“Very simple. There’s nothing more important to me in my life than my wife and my three-year-old son. My wife and I have an incredible bond. We know how to make this work-life balance work. When we’re home, she and I both have a passion for fitness and boxing, so we work together whenever we have time. She has a full-time job as well. My son’s three years old, so chasing him around all day is good for the body,” he laughs, “but more importantly good for the mind and soul,” says Jones.

His travels inspire him but it is his personal fulfillment that drives Jones to operate as the high performer that he is. Prioritizing his fitness, mind, and spiritual needs charges Jones to operate and ideat from a place of true contentment that transcends into the experiences he creates for the enjoyment of others. Take some of his most notable career highlights including being accredited with launching Swedish House Mafia’s first-ever North American nightlife residence. 

Additionally, he facilitated collaborations with Justin Bieber and that one famous record-breaking Drake deal. On top of assisting in the rollout of the historic first-of-its-kind in-stadium entertainment: Wynn Field Club inside Allegiant Stadium.

His most poignant lessons in leadership, and managing over 400 people at one time, come from the Wynn environment as a whole. He credits the leadership he’s had along his successful journey to his teams’ magnanimous success.

“I’ve worked for some unbelievable people on the nightlife side but also on the hotel side and the executive side. What I’ve taken away from everything that our leaders have always said is to be yourself. Always lift people up and lift people around you. And that’s just the Wynn culture that we’ve always had. And it’s been incredible. And that’s why I’m here. It’s why I’ve been here for 12 years and want to stay here forever.”
