“Your generation is obsessed with reality shows, “ they said. “They’re stupid,” they said. Oh yeah? Three words baby: Vanderpump Cocktail Garden. Your “Happy Days” and “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” faves could NEVER.
“I have always loved Las Vegas –it has always been a dream of mine to see our brand in lights at the iconic Caesars Palace. Vanderpump Cocktail Garden will combine the sex atmosphere of our other establishments injected with the Vegas energy that brings millions of guests who visit year after,” said Lisa Vanderpump.
When Vanderpump pitched “Vanderpump Rules” to Bravo TV she promised them the chaos that followed her millennial server staff on a silver platter and ripe for TV: hookups, gossip, and blowouts over a many a-chilled glasses of Vanderpump Rosé. She’d had to. Now, the Vanderpump Cocktail Garden server position is going to be the new “a lot of girls would kill for that job.” Sorry, Andy Sachs.
For Caesars Palace, this was a smart business move to hopefully attract attract the millennial consumer to its property. The Bravo TV reality show “Vanderpump Rules” is the most favored show amongst millennials today soon to maybe replace “Keeping Up With The Kardashians”. The reality show that has become as irrelevant as Nutella.
But will we see Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright? Stacie or Katie? Tom Sandoval or Tom Schwartz behind the bar? And will we be able to taste Sandoval and Schwartz artisanal cocktail skills on the rocks? That’s really what’s on everyone’s mind and all that we care about. Who else could make you feel like you’ve royally screwed get your college degree instead of sticking with your college waitressing job than the Vanderpump Rules cast?
Who knows. Maybe Vanderpump Cocktail Garden will have have its own reality show called “Vanderpump Garden”. Only every Las Vegas’ cocktail server and nightlife hostess’ dream.
Whatever the future holds is uncertain. I just can’t wait to experience just a little bit of the SUR-real allure in real life.
Vanderpump Cocktail Garden will have indoor patio with hostesses transporting them to mock al-fresco style L.A. garden with towering trees and twinkling romantic lights. Craft cocktails and Vanderpump branded Sangria and Rosé along with a selected wine list and small bites will be available.
“Caesars Palace has a long history of working with notable names; from renowned chefs to legendary music icons—we’re proud to now partner with Lisa Vanderpump to bring her first venture to Las Vegas. We look forward to Vanderpump bringing Los Angeles flair combined with the extravagance of the Strip,” said Gary Selesner, Caesars Palace regional president.
Who would’ve thought that a few years later after Vanderpump Rules’ Stacie Schroeder’s Las Vegas birthday from hell at Marrakech Moroccan Restaurant, the Vanderpump name would have a home on the Las Vegas Strip.
Vanderpump Cocktail Garden is to open in Las Vegas early 2019.
