“Is that…?” Was the question of the night by guests who recognized the overflow of famous faces at literally spitting distance at the grand opening inside The Palazzo at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas.
Anyone that’s anyone from media to celebrities and beyond was in attendance at Mott 32, one of Hong Kong’s most award-winning restaurants.
GUESS WHO WAS THERE
Before my vision blurred by way of the Joe’s Elixir cocktail, I managed to make out Justin Hartley, best known for his role as Kevin Pearson on NBC’s “This is Us”, Jamie Chung and her husband, actor Bryan Greenberg, Kelsey Merritt and boyfriend Conor Dwyer, and Ross Butler who plays Zach Dempsey on Netflix’s drama “13 Reasons Why” at the Las Vegas grand opening.
Fashion designer Christian Siriano, “Dancing with the Stars” judge and guest co-host of “The Talk” Carrie Ann Inaba, musical group R5, Las Vegas headliners Human Nature, and Mott 32 Managing Director and co-founder Xuan Mu, along with Senior Group Director Michael Main and Group Food and Beverage Director Katelyn Ix, were also in attendance.
THE FOOD WAS BOMB
They, and yours truly, celebrated the highly-anticipated grand opening on what will go down in the history of the city as the Best Last Friday in Las Vegas of 2018. Why you ask? Because throughout the entire venue there was something to see, taste, drink, and capture.
Guests sampled delectable savory dishes from Mott 32’s acclaimed menu, including barbecue Pluma Iberico pork, minced duck in a lettuce cup, and crispy sugar-coated barbecue pork buns.
INTERIOR DESIGN WAS INSANE
Renowned interior designer Joyce Wang studied the details of what makes Las Vegas a legendary city. Wang introduced Mott 32 Las Vegas with superb design elements unique to the city of entertainment. Speakeasy-inspired dining areas complete with faux ostrich feather fanning, sequined shift dress wearing, 1920s inspired dancers. The Moonshiners were playing their signature roaring 20s beats. Napkin Killa’s artwork was on every Mott 32 cocktail napkin. The fortune teller had on average waiting line of eight to 10 people at a time.
Oh, if you could only see what my eyes saw.
It was magnificent.
Breathtaking.
Magical!
Out of a Anna May Wong film, if you’ve ever saw one, with a contemporary flair.
INSTAGRAM-WORTHY RESTAURANT
Mott 32 did it so right in placing an Instagram-worthy flower wall with its recognizable logo. Guests took selfies, posted to their Instagrams, and Snapchats, more times that I could count.
Are you coming? I’ll be over at the fortune teller.
