There are endless of startups, but which do you invest in? Enter Tech Cypha, the startup investing consulting company that narrows down the work for you with a portfolio of companies with potential ROI to invest in.
Tech Cypha will allow affluent individuals to participate in startup deals. Friends and business partners T.I. Harris, Jason Geter, and Brandon Lewis launched Tech Cypha because they were moved by the idea that tech companies are usually consumer-operated rather than culture-owned.
With the mighty and profitable rise of Atlanta’s startup culture raising a staggering $1.15 billion in seed funding, according to the National Venture Capital association, Tech Cypha is focusing on bridging that gap and turning the once trendsetting culture into powerful investors.
“Tech Cypha is going to be an investment vehicle [for those] looking for promising early and late-stage startups to invest capital in, assist with marketing, and give branding directions. It’s our way of bridging the gap between the culture and technology,” says Lewis, co-founder of Tech Cypha.
It’s worth noting that Hip-Hop Culture has always invented and led those inventions into profitable products inspiring industries across the board like the luxury industry (e.g. Prada, Louis Vuitton,) to the food and beverage industry (e.g. Sprite, KitKat), which can make Tech Cypha’s niche focus a serious new contender in VC.
The rise of Hip-Hop Culture entrepreneurs has become an even more common theme as of late. T.I. Harris started his own record label Grand Hustle Records in 2003. Rihanna launched Fenty Beauty Savage x Fenty Beauty in the luxury industry. Rick Ross’ invested in Wingstop and Lebron James currently leads the pack through his investment in the fastest-ever growing pizza chain, Blaze Pizza.
“Being in the city of Atlanta and with Georgia Tech producing so much talent, and coming from us being within the hip-hop culture, which is always influencing and promoting things, we saw an opportunity,” says Geter. “In the past, we were always looking through the glass window and looking at ways we can participate earlier. And that’s by coming together to pool our resources so we can invest more.”
