NoMad Las Vegas rips open its first property in Las Vegas at Park MGM, where Lady Gaga’s Enigma show is home to. As an avid reader, you’re going to flip over and pass out when you find yourself eating duck from the Beauty and the Beast library DINING room stocked with 20,000 books.
Actually, it was inspired by the Library of NoMad New York, but I find it hard to believe the people at Sydell Group wasn’t binge watching Beauty and the Beast when they conceived it. This is what they had to say.
“I am so pleased to be bringing our NoMad family to Las Vegas and can’t wait to share it with the world,” said Andrew Zobler, Founder & CEO of the Sydell Group.
So in case you didn’t know, Sydell Group is kind-of big and poppin’ these days. We saw them in the press starting last year behind their involvement with Park MGM as a whole. But more on that later.
One thing you may also not know is that Eleven Madison Park is the sister restaurant to the new NoMad Las Vegas. Eleven Madison Park as in the eight-times James-Beard winning award lead there by Chef Daniel Humm and restaurateur Will Guidara.
Chef Humm said, “It is an honor to be a part of this incredible culinary community. The entire NoMad team is excited to bring our brand of delicious food and gracious hospitality to the millions of people that visit and love this amazing city. We feel so very lucky to be welcomed here.”
The are 293 rooms and suites all designed by French architect Jacques Garcia. Classic French theaters inspired the design of the NoMad Bar. Chef Humm created a menu that’s designed for all-day dining, if you want to stay in one place. There seems to be a big emphasis on theatrics by the way NoMad Las Vegas is described.
During the day, a velvet Austrian sheer curtain, custom-made by the Rosebrand theatre production company, cloaks the bar. In the evening, the curtain rises to reveal a bar environment reminiscent of its New York counterpart, which is No. 1 in North America and No. 4 among the World’s 50 Best Bars. It’s definitely done on purpose.
“We’ve always been inspired by the theatricality of Las Vegas and have been waiting for the right opportunity to come here and be part of this incredible hospitality scene. And finally, we found that opportunity. We’re so excited to bring the NoMad to The Strip,” Guidara said.
