I read this ridiculous sentence in an article that said: “if you’ve been experiencing Kaia Gerber deprivation….” First of all, no one is experiencing Kaia Gerber anything unless you’re some tween on Instagram infested with that weird phase of human idolization we all go through. If you’re going to write anything, annihilate ridiculous banter and make it a true statement. I mean seriously, what the fuck? LOL.
If we’re discussing Kaia Gerber anything, I’m sorry, but I will always bring up the fact that she looks exactly like her mother, 80s and 90s supermodel, Cindy Crawford. Also, the fact that she’s killing it at 16-years-old with what seems like a Snapchat streak except with spring campaigns for brands like Chanel, Saint Laurent, Marc Jacobs Beauty, and most recently Karl Lagerfeld’s namesake brand.
I am shocked to see sweatpants as part of the new Karl Lagerfeld Fall 2018 collection because he famously once said, “Sweatpants are a sign of defeat. You lost control of your life so you bought some sweatpants.”
I stupidly believed him because he wasn’t far off but look. Now he’s changed his mind on me and I’m happy about it. Good style always sticks even when people don’t understand its functionality or appreciate its unique design re: Dapper Dan and the wide headband Gerber is wearing in the Fall 2018 Karl Lagerfeld campaign.
The break-out model gives a glimpse of what could be Fall 2018’s new it, aside from the leather which is always in fashion, including voluminous hair. I’m happy to see that again. I’ve been thinking about hairstyles that dominated the 2000s and I miss volume at the crown. That I’m personally here for. If we’re talking about Kaia Gerber, let’s discuss her like this. The only thing I’m deprived off is sleep.
