Legendary rocker and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Sammy Hagar brought his iconic Cabo-inspired “Birthday Bash” to Las Vegas for the first time ever, turning the weekend into an unforgettable celebration at Palms Casino Resort. The event featured two sold-out shows on Friday, Oct. 4 and Saturday, Oct. 5, drawing fans from around the country to experience Hagar’s legendary party energy.
The weekend’s highlight came when fellow rock icon Rick Springfield joined Hagar on stage at the Pearl Theater on Friday night to perform “I’ve Done Everything for You,” a song Hagar originally wrote, which became a top 10 hit for Springfield in 1981. Fans erupted as the two icons rocked the stage together, celebrating decades of friendship and music history.
On Saturday, the birthday festivities continued at Sammy’s Island at Palms Pool with “Sammy’s Birthday Splash.” Springfield and his wife, Barbara Porter, joined Hagar poolside, where Hagar presented Springfield with a tiki-themed cake in honor of their friendship. The event kept the tropical vibes alive with rock classics, including “Rock Candy” and “Bad Motor Scooter,” performed by Three Lock Box, Hagar’s signature party band.
The poolside bash featured non-stop hits from DJ Rick Gee and the Dancing DJs, plus delicious food and signature cocktails like “Sammy’s Birthday Shots,” made with Santo Tequila and Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum. Guests also enjoyed Red Rocker Lager, a refreshing Mexican-style beer by Red Rocker Brewing Co., and sipped on cans of Sammy’s, the brand’s newest drink line in flavors like Tangerine Dream, Pineapple Splash, Island Pop, and Cherry Kola Chill.
Hagar’s tropical-themed pool area, Sammy’s Island, debuted at Palms Pool this spring, inspired by his Baja beach lifestyle. Located at 4321 W. Flamingo Rd., the pool is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. during pool season, offering visitors a Baja-style getaway in the heart of Las Vegas.
