El Luchador Mexican Kitchen + Cantina is officially open in Henderson. From hospitality veterans Hooper Hospitality Concepts, the successful restaurant opened its doors earlier this year in Mountain’s Edge and brings its fresh take on Mexican-American cuisine to the area.
With Chef Aaron Bryan at the helm, he brings his twist on Mexican cuisine staples. A nod to his SoCal roots and extensive experience in the culinary world from high-end restaurants like the Four Seasons Newport to cooking with heart and soul for friends and family.
Like a champion luchador, El Luchador spirits menu is expansive and colorful. From eighty tequilas and mezcals, craft cocktails, like the Vulcana is made with 400 Canejos Mezcal, Guava, Elderflower and Lime or try a creative drink called the Telenovela made with Patron Reposado, Passion Fruit, and Ginger Beer. Even the pickiest Tequila drinker will be satisfied.
For those familiar with the menu, here are a few signature dishes guests have come to know and love:
- Tableside Guacamole served with house-made tortilla chips
- Elote En Plato with charred corn, pico de gallo, aioli, fresno chili, queso cotija and tajin
- Triple Threat Chimichanga served with your choice of adobo beef, chicken or pork, pinto bean puree, cotija & jack cheese, salsa verde, cilantro creama and salsa de enchilada
- A selection of Tacos from Camaron Chicharron to Surf & Turf, and Carnitas Ala Mandarin.
Other items to try include a selection of nachos, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, and more. Multiple menu items can be made vegetarian or vegan upon request.
The new location also boast a capacity of 275. With an additional 50 capacity coming early in 2022 when the restaurant is set to debut a brand new patio.
“We’re excited to have such a large space that will be the perfect home for more private events, sports viewing parties, and more. The bar area is huge so we expect a lot of happy hour action as well. We even have some bar-top gaming coming in early 2022,” said Hooper Hospitality Concepts owner Andy Hooper.
El Luchador Mexican Kitchen + Cantina is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
