Carversteak, the luxury steakhouse located inside Resorts World Las Vegas, introduced its custom barrel Maker’s Mark Private Selection this month.
Carver Road Hospitality Vice President of Beverage and Hospitality Culture, Francesco Lafranconi travel to Maker’s Mark Distillery in Loretto, Kentucky to hand select flavoring oak staves. Creating refined and complex flavors as it aged over four months.
Maker’s Mark 46, Seared French Cuvée, Roasted French Mendiant and Toasted French Spice staves produced a complex, sophisticated and lingering finish on the palate. The profiles include:
- Aroma: Dark chocolate, rum raisins, dry figs, almond macaroon, antique oak.
- Taste: Mildly sweet, opulent, and sultry mouth-feel with notes of dry figs, pistachios, brown sugar, dark chocolate with a hint of Sherry-like character
Try the Kentucky Swagger signature cocktail created by Lafranconi. Made with Carversteak’s Maker’s Mark Private Selection, M&R Ambrato Vermouth, Stambecco Cherry Amaro and Botanika Angelica Orange Liqueur served in a rocks glass poured over a large sphere ice cube for $28. The 112.2 proof whiskey is also available on the menu as a neat pour for $24 until sold out.
