Tyler, The Creator Returns With Call Me If You Get Lost

Tyler, The Creator, Call Me If You Get Lost

Tyler, the Creator has returned with his latest studio album, Call Me If You Get Lost. Never one to limit himself in his music, the album is an accumulation of all his previous sounds while expanding into new territory. Call Me If You Get Lost creates an ambiance that relishes in nostalgia while maintaining the current sounds of today.

Continuing to expand his sound following his 2019 album, IGOR, Tyler, the creator, the album finds influence from multiple genres. The project encompasses the influence of jazz, reggae, soul, and pop into his hip hop sound. The production made the album feel very nostalgic, while still being original and current. In all, the sound of the album is more refined compared to Tylers’ earlier works without sacrificing the quality.

Featuring some of his most personal work, the album carries a storyline similar to that of a coming-of-age story. In whole, the album tells the story of the character, Tyler Baudelaire.  The songs talk about the feeling of love, loss, and dealing with the choices we make in life. Some personal favorites from the album were ‘SWEET / I THOUGHT YOU WANTED TO DANCE,’ ‘JUGGERNAUT,’ and ‘WILSHIRE.’
