The audacity to be this comical. I believe this to be 100% true– Opium at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is one of the most absurdly original shows in the world. Add it to your bucket list because it’s worth the trek.

The first order of business is to get your fix. You want OPIUM in your system stat and boarding the OPM 4.2 Spaceship with the orbital people from Uranus to scratch your itch.

You’ll experience what feels like a psychedelic trip that comes in the form of a seductive BDSM girl being swallowed whole by a massive latex balloon before your very eyes.

The pervy sword boy in short shorts did just swallow two elongated sharp blades in one purposely sexually-advanced gulp. What’s that pink rubber shaft flying over the heads of the audience members you ask? A hopefully sterile dildo.

Dusty Moonboots (whose storyline is the last descendant of the alien ancestors who founded Las Vegas many light years ago) is belching her galactical vocals for the entire Milky Way to hear.

You’re not hallucinating this deliriousness. It’s actually happening. Spiegelworld Productions, the creators behind Absinthe, blasts off into this absurdly hilarious and addicting voyage with its passengers at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

Opium re-introduces 20th-century entertainment in revisiting the vaudeville theatrical genre. The juxtaposition found in the show’s surrealism is the comic relief the world desperately needs right now.
OPIUM is where Andy Warhol and Salvador Dali would’ve spent their weekends in the 21st-century, surely.
The show can be enjoyed in luxury at the “Impressario’s Reserve” booth or the cushioned benched area called “Terrace”. There's also a 3-course dinner package at Rose. Rabbit. Lie. complete with prime seating and a VIP entry option in you’re running too late to have a pre-show dinner.
