People are BIG mad and I don’t get it.
It’s very hard to blame the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team for celebrating their triumphant win the way they did.
They had Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame champagne showers and boastful Instagram posts like any other athlete does when they win.
The Raptors celebrated the same way, if not more elaborate.
Nearly, every team that has ever won a championship has celebrated with that much vigour. So what’s the big fucking deal?
Part of the reason why Veuve Clicquot was even there, by the way, was because the La Grande Dame bottle that the U.S. Women Soccer team was drinking was created for Madame Clicquot who apparently was the fearless business woman behind the champagne brand.
Christen Press, Alex Morgan, Tobin Heath, and Crystal Dunn were cheered by thousands at the parade this past Wednesday in NYC.
They won FIFA! How else are they supposed to celebrate? Crocheting?
So why is everyone getting on their case?
Is it because they’re women?
Is it because women are used to being seen soft and feminine?
What exactly do you think is the problem? Is it fair?
Go off in the comments.
