Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas welcomes locals and tourists to stop by and celebrate Lunar New Year with festive live entertainment and plenty of photo opportunities in honor of the Year of the Tiger.
The iconic destination kicked off the celebration on January 3rd. Welcoming the return of the dazzling Golden Dragon art installation located next to Louis Vuitton in the luxury wing. The display stands over eight feet tall and is covered in 5 miles of metallic-stranded material. A symbol of luck and prosperity, stop by the magnificent Dragon as you celebrate this Lunar New Year.
Guests have the opportunity to commemorate their celebration with a photo at the breathtaking lantern display near Smith & Wollensky. Adding to the celebration, The Shoppes will captivate guests with Fan Dancer performances starting February 1st through the 6th. Performances will take place at St Mark’s Square at 3 p.m. and Gazebo in the Sky Garden at 3:30 p.m.
Other festivities include the special Lion Blessing on Tuesday, February 1st at 3 p.m., as new retailers in the destination will receive a cultural blessing for good fortune for the year. Stop by on Thursday, February 3rd for the 11th Annual city-wide Chinese New Year in the Desert ribbon-cutting ceremony. This coveted event will return with a special moment featuring lively fan dancing performances, remarkable lion blessings, and more starting at noon.
